Beach-Inspired Sea Glass & Succulent Wedding || Shelby & Ryan
When you dream of a relaxed beachy wedding where everyone simply has fun, you’ll paint a picture of Shelby & Ryan’s chill Chesapeake wedding day this past weekend. Their day was so chill that the summer sun couldn’t even handle losing the attention. Shelby’s decor was full of every type of succulent imaginable with earthy accents of greenery, driftwood, & sea glass. Their families deserve a gold medal in wedding preparation because their talents shone (shined? shone..) this Saturday: Shelby’s mom created all of the driftwood-candle-succulent centerpieces, her dad hand-built their gorgeous floral-filled driftwood arbor, and Ryan’s sister Kelly hand-wrote all of the calligraphy on the sea glass table numbers and escort cards. Talk about a successful team effort! And Shelby & Ryan’s bridal party brought all the energy & dance moves (just wait until they bust out their moves in the impromptu soul train during their portraits). One of my favorite parts about their day was how all of the children were free to be children – splashing around knee-deep in the waves, spilling red kool-aid on their shirts, sprawling across the ‘sandbox’ of the Chesapeake shore, and eating bread in the nude. You know, what we all wish we were actually doing. Well go on now, soak in all of the goodness of their wedding day in these photos!
