DIY Fall Crafty Outdoor Wedding || Heather + Grant
I’ve got all the feels right now. Heather + Grant are two wonderful, caring, and thoughtful individuals and their wedding beautifully and intentionally captured their personalities. And I’m totally biased. This was my first time being a dual photographer and bridesmaid (photogsmaid?) for two dear friends so this day and these photographs are quite precious to me. Heather and Grant got married during the peak fall season in Pennsylvania at the Lodges at Gettysburg. The mosaic of fall tree leaves blended beautifully with their forest green decor, autumn wheat, and prairie grasses from their Nebraska roots.
Together with their families, Heather + Grant DIY-designed their wedding details to display their creative and crafty sides. Heather folds paper and creates origami like no other while Grant’s go-to creativity outlet is sketching and doodling. So they set up a table during their reception and invited guests to partake in their crafts of choice. Heather also handmade origami dahlias to include in her bouquet as well as paper-quilled each of the bridesmaids’ earrings. And I mean this list doesn’t end! Grant hand-pressed hundreds of leaves for the decor, Heather’s mom made handwoven tea baskets for each guest as favors, and Heather’s aunt & mom cut down flowers and grasses from their own gardens to create all of the floral designs. Phew! Like I was saying, every piece of their wedding was so intentional & thoughtful and created such a uniquely beautiful atmosphere. Congratulations to my dear friends Heather & Grant!!!
