Moody DC Engagement At The Franciscan Monastery || Melissa & Peter

 In Engagements

Oh what a GREAT THURSDAY it is! Melissa & Peter’s engagement session at the Franciscan Monastery is satisfying my deep love for all things joy-filled, moody, beautiful, and balanced. Between the two wonderful souls in these photos & the dusty interplay of neo-Byzantine architecture and the nature it was built into, I’m having a field day.

Melissa & Peter are two of the most kind, gracious, and lovely people I’ve had the delight of knowing. Being around them just gives me the warm fuzzies. FOR INSTANCE. Within only a handful of days of meeting them, these two let me borrow their kitchen rug right from under their feet after I posted about my quest on my IG stories. I mean!! They’re beautiful souls inside & out.

I immediately fell in love with these guys after Melissa wrote in her initial email that she & Peter love to feed their resident deer, climb mountains together, and how Peter creates beautiful moody, dark paintings that Melissa loves (check out his incredible paintings here!). Getting to create art of these artists in such a unique location was simply revitalizing. I mean, enough with my chatter. These photos!
